Scripture: Proverbs 28:13 (NLT)

“People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy.”

There’s one universal truth in spiritual growth: freedom follows honesty. As long as we hide behind the mask, we live in bondage — trapped by the fear of being exposed, the weight of keeping it together, and the silence of spiritual isolation. But the moment we come clean, we step into healing.

Pastor Cory said it clearly: You are only as strong as you are honest. The ones who prosper are not the ones who perform — they’re the ones who confess, who drop the mask, who get real with God and others. And when they do, they don’t receive judgment. They receive mercy.

The church was never meant to be a museum of fake perfection. It’s a hospital for the broken. A family of struggling, repenting, growing sinners who know that Jesus has zero tolerance for hypocrisy, but unlimited grace for those who seek Him with honesty.

So where are you still hiding? What part of your life are you trying to manage in the dark, afraid of what would happen if you spoke the truth? God already knows — and still invites you. Not to shame you, but to set you free.

You don’t need to carry it alone. Find a trusted believer, join a small group, open up in community. This is how we heal: together, in grace, with Jesus at the center.

Prayer: Jesus, I’m done pretending. I don’t want to hide anymore. Thank You for loving me even at my worst, and for offering mercy instead of condemnation. Give me the courage to be honest — with You, with others, and with myself. I want to be free. Amen.
