Scripture: Deuteronomy 31:6
For some people, the word “father” brings comfort. For others, it brings pain.
Human fathers are imperfect. Some are distant. Some are absent. Some are harsh. But the Bible introduces us to a very different kind of Father.
God is the Father who never abandons His children.
Throughout Scripture, God promises His presence. He assures His people that He will never leave them or forsake them. When life feels uncertain, when loneliness creeps in, or when circumstances become overwhelming, that promise becomes incredibly powerful.
You are not navigating life alone.
Your Heavenly Father sees you.
He knows you.
He cares about what you’re walking through.
James reminds us that when we draw near to God, He draws near to us. That means God isn’t distant or uninterested in your life. He is present and attentive.
Even when people fail you, God remains faithful.
Even when life feels unstable, His presence is steady.
You are deeply known and deeply loved by the perfect Father.
Prayer:
God, thank You for being a Father who never leaves me. Help me trust Your presence and draw closer to You each day. Amen.
