Boldness in Obedience

Read: Acts 5:27–29
When commanded to stop teaching in the name of Jesus, Peter and the apostles replied with a simple but world-shaking statement: “We must obey God rather than men.”
Obedience is the heart of bold faith. It’s easy to obey when it’s convenient or celebrated, but true obedience shows up when it costs us something—comfort, reputation, opportunities, or even relationships.
Bold obedience doesn’t mean we are reckless. It means we are resolved. We choose to honor God above human approval. We choose truth over compromise. We choose obedience even when it leads to hardship.
Reflection: Where is God calling you to obey Him right now, even if it costs you something? What’s holding you back from bold obedience?
Prayer:
Lord, give me courage to obey You above all else. Help me choose faithfulness over fear, and Your approval over the world’s applause. Amen.
