Read: Acts 4:29–31

When Peter and John returned from standing before the council, the first thing the believers did was pray. They didn’t pray for safety, or for an easier life, but for boldness. They asked God to stretch out His hand in power, even if it meant more opposition.

Notice what happened: the place was shaken, they were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness. Boldness didn’t come from personality or confidence—it came from prayer and the Spirit’s filling.

When we feel timid, uncertain, or afraid, prayer is where boldness begins. Prayer aligns us with God’s purposes and fuels courage beyond ourselves.

Reflection: When was the last time you asked God not for comfort, but for boldness? What situation in your life right now requires Spirit-filled courage?

Prayer:

Lord, shake me from my fears. Fill me with Your Spirit, and give me boldness to speak and live for You no matter the cost. Amen.
