Day 3:

You may have heard the word “deconstruction” thrown around — and often, it comes with heavy emotions. Some deconstruct by throwing out everything related to faith. But Biblical deconstruction isn’t about tearing everything down; it’s about removing what isn’t true so we can cling to what is.

Jesus Himself called people to re-examine what they believed. Over and over in Matthew 5, He said, “You have heard it said… but I tell you…” He wasn’t destroying faith — He was rebuilding it on the right foundation.

Done rightly, deconstruction is simply asking, “What do I believe? And does it align with the heart of God as revealed in Jesus?”

Prayer:

“Lord, help me let go of what is false and hold fast to what is true. Give me courage to examine my beliefs in light of Your love and Your Word. Amen.”

Reflection Question:

What is one belief about God, myself, or others that I need to re-examine through the lens of Jesus’ love?
