Scripture: Judges 6:14 (NIV)

“Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”

Have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered, “Why would God choose someone like me?” You’re not alone. Many of us struggle with spiritual insecurity. We know our past. We know our weaknesses. We hear the voice that says, “You’re not enough.” But today, God’s Word reminds you that you are not a mistake — you are His masterpiece.

Pastor Cory reminded us of Gideon, a man hiding in fear, convinced he was too small, too weak, and too inadequate to be used by God. Yet when God called him a “mighty warrior,” Gideon couldn’t believe it. Still, God didn’t back down. He said, “Go in the strength you have... Am I not sending you?” (Judges 6:14). God doesn’t need perfection. He calls the insecure, the hesitant, and the overlooked — and then empowers them with His presence.

You may doubt your worth, but God never does. He formed you with purpose. He saved you for a reason. When the enemy whispers that you’re not good enough, remember: if God didn’t plan to use you, Satan wouldn’t work so hard to stop you.

Don’t let insecurity silence your calling. The church doesn’t need perfect people. It needs called people who trust God to do the impossible through them. That includes you.

Prayer:Lord, thank You for choosing me even when I feel unworthy. Help me to trust in Your voice above my insecurities. Remind me that I am Your masterpiece, created for good works You prepared long ago. Amen.
