Legacy or No Name?

Scripture:
“Now in earlier times in Israel… one party took off his sandal and gave it to the other…” – Ruth 4:7
Devotional:
The unnamed redeemer in Ruth 4 declined the opportunity to step into God’s story. His name is lost to history. Boaz, however, embraced God’s call and became part of the lineage of Christ. The difference is striking: one chose comfort, the other obedience.
Our legacy is not built on what we avoid but on what we embrace for God’s glory. The choices we make today ripple into eternity.
Application:
Ask yourself: Am I living for myself, or am I living for legacy?
Prayer:
Lord, I don’t want to fade into history. Help me say yes to Your call and leave a legacy of faith that points to You. Amen.
Send-off:
Live today with legacy in mind—someone’s tomorrow is tied to your obedience today.
