Scripture: “While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’” – Acts 7:59
Stephen’s message cost him his life. Yet, as stones flew, he fixed his eyes on heaven. He knew the truth was worth declaring, even if it meant death. His boldness sparked a fire—showing the world that this wasn’t just a message, it was a movement worth dying for.
Most of us won’t face martyrdom, but we can live with that same eternal perspective. Bold belief doesn’t cling to comfort; it clings to Christ. When we keep our eyes on Him, even our hardest trials become opportunities to point people to Jesus.
Prayer: Father, fix my eyes on heaven. Give me faith like Stephen, bold enough to live—and if needed, suffer—for the truth of Christ.
