The Power of Bold Prayer

Scripture: “And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word.” — Acts 4:29 (NLT)
When the early church faced opposition, they didn’t pray for safety or comfort. They prayed for boldness. Their prayer shook the very room they were in, and the Spirit filled them with fresh courage to stay on mission.
Too often, our prayers revolve around convenience. But bold prayers move heaven and earth. Bold prayers ask for God’s presence, power, and opportunities to witness — no matter the cost. Like Moses, we can say, “If You don’t go with us, we’re not moving.”
Reflection: Are my prayers more about my comfort or God’s mission?
Prayer:
Sovereign Lord, make me bold today. Fill me with Your Spirit, open my mouth to speak hope, and open my hands to serve with courage and love. Amen.
