God with us in the valley

Scripture: “The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” — John 1:14
We often celebrate the miracle that God came near — but we tend to believe it most on the mountaintops. When life feels stable and blessings stack up, it’s easy to say, “God is with me.”
But valleys test that belief. Valleys strip away illusions of self-sufficiency. Valleys force us to face the truth: if God isn’t with us, we don’t have enough.
The hope of the incarnation isn’t just that God once walked among humanity — it’s that He still walks with you. In your fear. In your loneliness. In your uncertainty.
The Light of the World shines just as brightly in the valley as it does on the mountaintop. You may simply have to look with more intention.
Reflection:
Where do you most need to remember God is with you — not in theory, but right now?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for being God with me, especially in the places I feel weakest. Help me notice Your nearness today.
