Scripture:

“Repent and be baptized… and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off.” – Acts 2:38–39

Reflection:

Peter’s words on Pentecost stretched across generations: this promise is for you, for your children, and for those “far off.” That means the Spirit’s power is not locked in the first century — it’s alive in us today.

The church is always one generation away from fading. But when we pass the gospel on — in our families, friendships, and communities — the promise lives on.

Application:

Pray for the next generation today. Ask God to pour out His Spirit on your children, your family, or the young people around you.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that Your promise is for every generation. Let my faith inspire the next generation to follow You boldly. Amen.

Send-off:

The Spirit who moved at Pentecost is still moving in you — and through you — today.
