“She had to trust God and wait…”

The waiting room of life is uncomfortable. Ruth experienced this as she risked vulnerability at Boaz’s feet. She didn’t know if he would say yes, if redemption would come, or if she’d be left in limbo.

We’ve all been there—waiting on a diagnosis, waiting for provision, waiting for God to answer a prayer. Waiting tests our faith like nothing else. But waiting is also where God does His deepest work.

Ruth didn’t let waiting destroy her hope. She kept trusting the character of God even when she couldn’t predict the outcome. That’s our invitation, too—to believe that while we are waiting, God is still working.

Reflection: What are you waiting for right now? How can you surrender your timeline and trust God’s timing?

Prayer:

Father, waiting is hard. Help me not to lose hope, but to trust that You are at work in ways I cannot see. Teach me to rest in Your timing. Amen.
