Galatians 3:27-28 (NIV)
“For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ… You are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Reflection:
We live in a world obsessed with belonging. We crave acceptance—whether it’s fitting in with friends, being noticed at work, or finding our place in a community. But often, belonging feels conditional. If you perform well, look right, or believe the same, you’re accepted.
Baptism tells a better story. It declares, I belong—not because I checked the right boxes, but because of Jesus. When you were baptized, you were clothed with Christ. Your truest identity isn’t based on your job title, your relationship status, or your past—it’s rooted in Him.
And belonging to Christ means you also belong to His family—the Church. It’s a messy, imperfect, beautiful family where grace is the foundation. So, when you feel unseen or disconnected, remind yourself: I am His, and I belong here.
Prayer:
Father, thank You that I belong—not because I earned it, but because of Jesus. Help me live with confidence in that truth, and help me extend belonging to others. Amen.
